Application to Request for ACPE-Accredited CE Program
The Howard University College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offers accreditation services to support your continuing education events. Whether you're planning a seminar, webinar, training session, or certificate program, we will work with you to ensure your program meets ACPE accreditation standards and delivers meaningful educational outcomes.
CPE Provider Services
The HUCOP Office of CPD is an ACPE-accredited provider with Commendation, recognized for its high standards in the development and delivery of continuing pharmacy education. We partner with internal departments and external organizations seeking ACPE-accredited credit for educational or training activities targeting pharmacists, technicians, and interprofessional audiences.
All educational activities undergo a comprehensive peer-review and quality assurance process to ensure alignment with ACPE standards, academic integrity, and learner-centered design. Activities may be delivered in online, in-person, or hybrid formats.
As part of our provider services, we offer:
- Development of learner needs assessments
- Creation of activity evaluation tools
- Automated credit processing through CPE Monitor
- Assistance with instructional design and measurable outcomes
- Support for Joint Providerships to ensure full compliance with ACPE criteria

Organizations or individuals interested in partnering with the Howard University College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Professional Development (HUCOP CPD) to accredit a continuing education (CE) activity must submit a request via email to HUCOPCPEoffice@howard.edu.

CV/Resume for Each Presenter/Speaker
- Email the most recent CV or resume for each presenter to HUCOPCPEoffice@howard.edu
Program Accreditation Application
- Complete and submit the online application form: CE Application Form
Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
- Each speaker/presenter must complete the online COI form: Conflict of Interest Form
Measurable Learning Objectives (Pharmacists)
- Submit up to four measurable learning objectives written specifically for pharmacists.
Post-Event Assessment Questions (Pharmacists/Technicians)
- Provide up to four multiple choices or true/false questions for each audience.
- Indicate the correct answer by placing an asterisk (*) in front of it. (e.g., *A. Correct Answer)
Practice Gap Statement
- Clearly describe the practice gap your activity is addressing and provide justification for the educational need. If needed, attach a separate document.
Slides/Handouts
- Limit to 45 slides per CE credit hour.
- First Slide: Title of presentation, speaker’s name, title, and credentials.
- Second Slide: Disclosure statement. If there is no disclosure, write “No financial interest with ineligible entities.
- Last Slide: Include “ACCESS CODE” and instructions on how to claim CE credit.
- Second-to-Last Slide: List of all references.
Program Announcement / Flyer / Marketing Material. Please ensure your program announcement includes:
- Program title and objectives
- Target audience (e.g., Pharmacists, Technicians, or both)
- Speaker(s) name, degree(s), and professional title(s)
- Date, time, and location of the activity (include platform if virtual)
- Format (Live, Home Study, or Both)
- Any applicable fees
- Financial support/acknowledgments

Programs are accessible anytime, anywhere, using any internet-enabled device. Once registered, participants can begin coursework immediately unless otherwise noted. Interactive content, downloadable resources, and module assessments are included in each course.
