Pharmacy is a profession that is made up of professionals. As such, pharmacy students, pharmacy faculty, and pharmacy staff must demonstrate professionalism. The expected professionalism traits include, but not limited to professional demeanor, appearance, trustworthiness, respect, pride in the profession, e-professionalism, service-orientation, accountability, and ethically sound decision making. The Director of Professionalism and Professional Development provides oversight to Howard University College of Pharmacy students, as it relates to professionalism and professional development. In addition, the Director coordinates faculty and staff development activities to facilitate professional development opportunities. In short, all Howard University College of Pharmacy students, faculty, and staff are held to professionalism standards in our pursuit of educating the Best Pharmacists in the World.
