Faculty/Student Research Program


The Faculty/Student Research Program is designed to increase the active engagement of professional pharmacy students in research projects along with faculty/research mentors who are conducting research which have a focus on Minority Health Issues.





Any African-American, Hispanic/Latino American, and American Indian/Alaska Native professional level students who have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 and above, a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident. 


All HU pharmacy students who have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.20 and above.


Students must complete and submit the following information: •COE Online Application •Two recommendations (1 from the Faculty/Mentor and 1 from a College of Pharmacy Course Coordinator) •A proposal that demonstrates the students’ interest in research, the proposed research project, and its relationship to Minority Health issues

Application Period: January 11-25      

Decision: February 1

Research Period: February 8-April 16  

Final Report Due: April 23

*Remote research only unless the applicant is a P4 student on rotation*
