Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAAETC) at HUCOP
Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAAETC)
For more than two decades, the Howard University Local Partner Site (HULPS) of the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAAETC) has been privileged to provide HIV/AIDS education, consultations, technical assistance, and resource materials to the HIV workforce in the Washington DC metropolitan area. The HULP recently received funding to continue delivering our signature services as well as continue our outreach expansion to more community-based service providers. As a part of that effort, we are reaching out to assess your training needs and to provide professional development for your workforce. Our services will be free of charge to your organization. If you have participated in our programs in some capacity in the past, we would welcome your continued participation. However, if you have not previously utilized the services of the MAAETC, we are here to meet all of your HIV training needs.
There are other ways you can assist with professional development of the District's HIV workforce. We also like to offer an opportunity for health care professionals to lead HIV/AIDS educational workshops in HIV specialty areas on behalf of the MAAETC. We would be honored to include you in our HULPS speaker's bureau. Our trainings help provide clinical education to staff/faculty at clinics, hospitals, universities/colleges, faith-based, community-based, and specialty organizations. By adding your voice to our series of presenters we will continue to make a monumental impact on the District of Columbia's fight against HIV/AIDS.
