Scholarships
Dr. Youness R. Karodeh and Dr. Babatunde Osun Endowed Scholarships
Dr. Youness R. Karodeh and Dr. Babatunde Osun Endowed Scholarships are awarded to 3 outstanding eligible P-4 students in the entry-level Pharm.D program, and meet the following:
- Full-time, P-4, and on-track entry-level Pharm. D program student
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrated record of an exemplary student at HUCOP, and a letter of Carrier goals.
- Demonstrated financial need
CVS Health Foundation Pharmacy Scholarship ($3,000)
Criteria
- No more than $1,000 per student
- Students in good academic standing as defined by the institution
- Students interested in a career in community pharmacy practice
CVS Health Foundation Spanish Scholarship ($2,000)
Criteria
- No more than $1,000 per student
- Students in good academic standing as defined by the institution
- Students interested in a career in community pharmacy practice
Walgreens Diversity & Inclusion Excellence Award ($2,500)
Scholarship awarded to a single student with an interest in community pharmacy and meets at least one of the following:
- Embraces diversity and promotes diversity and inclusion initiatives on campus
- Represents an underrepresented minority group
Walgreens Multilingual Scholarship ($2,500)
Awarded to a single student who is fluent speaking in one or more languages in addition to English with an interest in community pharmacy
Walmart Scholarship ($1,000)
Criteria:
- A student that is a current Walmart or Sam's Club pharmacy intern of former Walmart associate who shows a desire to enter community practice upon graduation
- A financial need, to help the student with tuition, books, etc. Students who have received a "full scholarship" that covers all expenses should not be awarded this scholarship
- A student that has shown the ability to lead others
- The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
William Sanders Scholarship
The requirements are generic, previously, the committee designated this award to students with at least a 3.4 cumulative GPA. No need was considered. ($1,000/student)
Armstrong/Walker Scholarship
The requirements are generic, the committee designated this award to International students in good academic standing who demonstrated need. Students had to have at least a 3.0 cumulative to be awarded. ($2,500/student)
Spurling & Don Clark Scholarship
To provide a scholarship to African American students who have demonstrated a need and have an average of B-. Students must be enrolled in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmacal Science.
Maceo & Peggy Scholarship
To provide scholarship to students with good academic standing and demonstrated need.
Sylvester Flowers Scholarship
To provide scholarship to eligible and deserving students who are both enrolled in the College of Pharmacy and are also in good academic standing.
USPHS- United States Public Health Service Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award Fall
Any pharmacy student currently enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

USPHS- The George F. Archambault Scholarship
Criteria:
- Completed at least one academic year in the professional sequence of courses
- Earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent grading system) in professional coursework during pharmacy school
- Be an active member in the APhA Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP)
- Submit an essay of up to 500 words describing how your leadership and professional experiences enhance and align with the USPHS core values of service to the underserved, integrity, leadership, and academics Preference given to those
- Indicating further USPHS service, including a USPHS residency program
- Completion of a COSTEP program or equivalent clerkship experience at a USPHS facility
- Child of a USPHS pharmacist DEADLINE TO APPLY 11:59 PM (PST) on Saturday, December 1 The George F. Archambault Scholarship is presented annually to one (1) recipient with a scholarship of $1,500.
